Hiking In Santa Fe

Despite the many limitations we’re currently facing because of Covid, there’s still plenty of opportunities to get out in nature in Santa Fe with so many different hiking trails in the city and area.

The Dale Ball Trails

The Dale Ball trail system offers panoramic views of the Jemez Mountains and “sneak peaks” of beautiful homes sited in the Hyde Park area going up to the ski basin.  You can access the Dale Ball trails just off of Hyde Park Road on the left before you get to Ten Thousand Waves.

The Atalaya Trail

The Atalaya Trail which starts right at St. John’s College offers both easy and more challenging trails with breathtaking western and southern vistas.

Dog Friendly

And if you’re looking for an easy place to meander with your pooch, the Santa Fe River trail offers low impact walking amid beautiful trees right in the heart of town.
